Description
Unravel the mystery of Untethered, a Daydream exclusive and quirky episodic VR series mixing comics and radio drama, into a videogame you can talk to. Using your own voice to talk to characters, and your trusty laser pointer arm to interact with the world, you join the story and piece together what’s happening in a coastal Oregon town of honest hardworking folks where everything feels a little too unbelievable.
If you could live inside a classic radio drama, talk to its invisible characters and interact with the environments the story painted in your mind, you might find yourself in a world like Untethered.
Who is the man leaving voicemails? What is he looking for? What exactly is this atmospheric phenomenon everyone is talking about? With each new episode, explore new locations and meet new characters, as you unravel the mysteries of Untethered.
DISCLAIMER 1: Due to a limitation with Daydream, Bluetooth headphones may cause instability with your controller, and are not recommended.
DISCLAIMER 2: Untethered uses Google-based speech recognition, but currently supports English language only. For the best experience, you must have reasonably clear English speaking ability.

The comic book racks come on screen and I can click on them but nothing further pops up. Nothing telling me to say anything

It seem a little lack sometimes even I just open the game from just charged Pixel with no heat. However, it has freedom to do everything. Quite good to test it out as a DJ and it really feel like the real DJ life. It has lots of detail and neat. I love it. Worth the price. Minot bug report: After completed the game, if I click "Replay Game" immediately without close the app and re-open, it will show the room with full of placeholder "Place Role" "Place Name" all around the room. If I close and open the game again, it's working fine. Please fix it. I also suggested that you change your app description to like "Want to try to be a DJ by your own in virtual reality? This is the game for it" too. I like this description more from Daydream District youtube channel.

Great game, great atmosphere Really enjoyed playing, it's great to just sit and explore the environment. Don't rush, just take it in. It's also great to see the developers keeping in contact with players and fixing problems that come up. Highly recommended.

This is an incredibly inventive game that takes a little bit of time to get used to, but once you've gotten used to everything is absolutely fantastic. It's story form is reminiscent of old radio mysteries. Except you are part of it. It's cliff hanger ending left me yearning for more and I can't wait to see what they'll do in episode 2!

A little short for the money in my mind, each episode from now is $4 or so which seems more reasonable. Also agree with others complaints that it does need a save button as my overheating warning came on and I couldn't quit to protect my phone since it wouldn't keep my progress. Cool other than those two complaints

It's an excellent experience to showcase what's possible to achieve with Daydream immersion and atmosphere. Only complaint is that's too short. I hope they release more chapters... Sad to see there are not many downloads.

I want to make sure I'm understanding properly. Are you seeing the Comic Book rack with each of the Episodes displayed? Are you able to click on one and see it display what to say to launch the Episode? It seem a little lack sometimes even I just open the game from just charged Pixel with no heat. However, it has freedom to do everything. Quite good to test it out as a DJ and it really feel like the real DJ life. It has lots of detail and neat. I love it. Worth the price. Episode 2 has been released today! We hope you enjoy the next chapter in Untethered! There are times when the game freezes for a moment, audio is still playing, but when you look around, it's all black, after a moment, it goes back to normal. Any idea what's the issue?

We've seen this behavior before, and haven't been able to nail down exactly why it happens. Our best guess is that the device could be heating up quicker than expected, which causes frame rate issues and "freezing". We are continuing to troubleshoot this as we released patches and future episodes. I would really like to know when Episode 2 comes out. When is the release date? I pre-ordered and it mentioned spring 2017, but spring has come and still nothing yet. Very addicting and hilarious!! Only con is that the episodes need to be much longer and more gameplay

Episode 2 has been released today! We hope you enjoy the next chapter in Untethered! Boring, and you can't save progress anyway. Is an interesting concept with botched execution.
Really good experience the only problem is I have been unable to complete the episode as there is no save and when my pixel overheats I turn it off to cool, and if I forget about it and it runs out of memory or I restart the phone before the next attempt I lose all progress, makes me feel disinclined to keep trying.

VR in general is pretty taxing on the devices. However we are continually trying to improve performance and fighting heat issues. I hope we can continue to make this better in the coming patches and for future episodes.
-Mike Great game, but episode one was very short. I've already preordered episode 2, but if I'm going to keep with the series, the episodes should probably get cheaper as they go on, because if this is going to be, say 4-5 episodes long, that $12/15 I'm putting in, which is quite a lot more than what I paid for the app.
Connectivity issue fixed in last release. Works great, compelling storyline, excellent writing - recommended!

-Mike Great game but only if you have the cash. This is a really really fun and nicely stylised game that is well acted, plays wonderfully and doesn't outstay it's welcome. My only problem would be that when you pay for the game you're not paying for full admission. I think I'd prefer it if either the price that the game is gives you a full season pass or if the price of the base game be lowered to the same price as that which the next episode is currently priced at. ANOTHER ISSUE is that every two minutes or so it shows a 'lost connection' message.

- Had a blast playing it! Cannot wait for the next one. My first full vr game I have played and it was tons of fun. Was a bit buggy in tracking and stuff but that is to be expected since it is still fairly new. Cant wait for more!
This was a super fun and immersive game. I'm really looking forward to the next installment!
If you like episodic narrative games like Life is Strange then this is up your alley. From the team behind That Dragon, Cancer. Really interesting use of voice input -- first I've seen in a Daydream app. Lots of humor and whimsy tucked in, set against a backdrop of trouble brewing. I already preordered Episode 2!
Very fun but short and expensive It was a great game, however was really short and I'm not sure it was worth that much money. At least you can play it over and over but still
Short but amazing Will replay multiple times waiting for the second part. Already preordered. However I still have to comment on the length. While there's A LOT happening in such a short amount of time, it was a short amount of time. However it's an excellent game and every VR owner should experience it. Well done.
Masterpiece My favorite simulation non-action VR game so far. Funny, great use of controls, love it!!!
Great game Tons of fun. Worth your $5 and the voice interaction is really cool.
Great! Wonderful VR storytelling. Can't wait for the second part!

Episode 2 is available now! We hope you enjoy the next chapter in Untethered! I like the game, but it consistently freezes every couple of seconds, then will continue working, and then another brief freeze. This continues very consistently. This is on a Pixel XL.
